The Golden Gate Trading Company was established by Mr. Gerald Tong in 1958 to cater to the leather tanning business.
In 1962, in order to meet the growing needs of Taiwan’s economy, The Golden Gate Trading Company began focusing on supplying to the foundry industry. In 1974, we formed a joint venture company with the British corporation Foseco International Ltd. (
www.foseco.com) to manufacture products in Taiwanto further expand our services to the local foundriesand steel mills.

By the turn of the century, The Golden Gate Trading Company developed into a leading supplier of raw materials to numerous industries in Taiwan. During the last decadewe created a steel mill products department and a specialty products department to focus on the refractory industry, abrasive industry, ceramics industry, welding rod industry, etc.
